The first game to feature in EA's Gamescom conference was The Sims 4. A new live-action trailer showed Sims interacting with humans, before Rachel Franklin took to the stage to show us some gameplay.

The Sims fans are being promised emotion based gameplay, that will apparently reinvent The Sims experience. This time focus will be on the Sims themselves, and every action informed and affected by their emotional state in the game. Fans will be able to explore the gamut of human emotions.

EA pretty much stole their own thunder when they accidentally uploaded most of these details the other day, and you can read more about The Sims 4 here.

We did get to see a gameplay demonstration, that involved a voodoo doll, sad music, and it played out against a love triangle scene taking place during in a party. Player choices regarding decor, actions, all impacted the emotions of the characters.

A new website was also mentioned, and pre-orders are also now available. Stay tuned, two new The Sims 4 trailers will be landing on the website soon. We'll add them here when they arrive.
