The latest game to come from Blue Byte (The Settlers Online, Anno Online) is going to be Panzer General Online, Ubisoft has announced.
"We are happy to celebrate our 25th studio anniversary with the announcement of a new entry in the beloved Panzer General franchise" said Blue Byte's Odile Limpach. "Panzer General Online is a game where tactical skill beats the luck of the cards, and will appeal to new and old strategy fans alike."
Like the games of old, it's to be a turn-based strategy game, but this time it'll be playable in web browsers and free-to-play. Blue Byte, in collaboration with Funatics Software, are set to offer both single and multi-player modes (with the single player acting as an advanced tutorial), and the game will also incorporate elements of trading card-based games. It's set to go into closed beta later this year, and you can register here.
