Bethesda is one of a growing number of publisher who don't have any games slated for release on Wii U and Joystiq caught up with vice president of PR and Marketing Pete Hines to find out why at the recent QuakeCon.
"None of the game's we've announced are being developed for the Wii U, so it's guaranteed that none of those games are coming to Wii U," Hines told Joystiq. This means there is no chance of Wolfenstein: The New Order, The Elder Scrolls Online, or The Evil Within hitting the console.
"It's largely a hardware thing," Hines continued and explained further that they are committed to making "the games that we want to make, on whatever platforms will support them as developed." That means they were unwilling to compromise with say The Elder Scrolls Online in order to fit it onto Wii U.
It doesn't necessarily rhyme with Wolfenstein: The New Order and The Evil Within hitting PS3 and Xbox 360... maybe it's also a business decision?
