Quakecon has kicked off and as you'd expect Id Software is making the news. John Carmack held a keynote for the event and had plenty to say (via Kotaku).
Among his choice reflections were his thoughts on Kinect: "kind of like a zero-button mouse with a lot of latency on it." And his thoughts on next-gen consoles PS4 and Xbox One which felt were both very good, and very close to eachother.
