Back in the late 90's real-time strategy was all the rage and Total Annihilation was one of the most heralded games of the time. A lot has come to pass since, but perhaps Gas Powered Games and creator Chris Taylor will be back working on a sequel before too long.
Atari who owned the rights to Total Annihilation recently put most of their remaining assets on sale as part of filing chapter 11 on their US operations. Turns out Wargaming, owners of Gas Powered Games, won the bid for the Total Annihilation rights.
Changes for a new Total Annihilation from Chris Taylor haven't been this great in many, many years.
