Guillermo del Toro, the man behind movies such as Hellboy and Pan's Labyrinth, has told MTV Multiplayer that Insane - the game he's working on together with Volition - is still a long way off. Last December it was said that the game should be out in 2013. "We've been working for a year. We have two or three more years to go," del Toro said now.
"It's huge. I'm learning a lot. I'm going in with a really, really modest 'I'm learning' approach. I'm a huge gamer but going into constructing it, you have to be respectful of the medium."
So what can we expect from Insane? Seems like Lovecraft-fans will be happy.
"It's Lovecraftian in a very sick way, which I like. It's truly, truly entertaining. Full of action, but also a very shocking game," the director said about the sandbox game.
