On November 29 Sony released a music video on PlayStation Japan dedicated to its lineup of games, using various animations mixed with gameplay footage, but Catsuka has tweeted comparisons between these animations and that of others around the world.
The official video has since been deleted (although it can still be viewed here), and Catsuka shares comparisons between this video and Steven Universe, FLCL, Gobelins (a visual communications school), and Souviens Ten-Zan.
Even more examples have been shared in the replies to the tweet, and Catsuka's follow-up also says that director Kevin Bao's page on the Connection agency website is offline now too.
Some of the replies argued that Sony could just be paying homage with these animations, but it certainly doesn't seem like Sony is sticking by their creation with its removal.
Since this tweet was made others have pointed out similarities between Bao's previous work and other animations as well, and Bao's Instagram has also gone private since the situation kicked off.
What should be done?
