There are few video game franchises as widely-known or loved-by-all as Valve's iconic Half-Life series, but the classic quote stating that "Valve can't count to three" has plagued fans of the series (and fans of other Valve-developed series) years, fearing that no third instalments were to ever be released. After having been put on an eerily radio-silent hold for over ten years, Half-Life has finally reemerged and even though it's not a numbered main instalment, the recently announced Half-Life: Alyx is a sign of life for a series many thought was dead and buried.

Half-Life: Alyx is Valve's "flagship VR game", the developer stated on its official Twitter account, and for those looking to learn more about the upcoming franchise-revival, Valve is going to officially unveil the game on Thursday at 6pm GMT / 7pm CET.
