Nintendo of America's cybersquatting claim against the owner of WiiU.com has been lost, and as such the domain will stay with its current owner.
The platform holder filed the case with the World Intellectual Property Organisation in February, and the ruling was published last month. It was originally reported by Fusible.com, who also noted that Nintendo could have bought the domain back in February on a domain name auction marketplace, SnapNames, for a considerably smaller amount. Although once Nintendo filed their claim, it was reportedly removed from the auction.
Now the company has no such option, and if they want to purchase the domain name they're going to have to put their hand in their pocket in order to secure it.
