Questions have been raised over Facebook's use of the device camera in the iOS app, as CNET reports that users such as Joshua Maddux were discovering that the app actively users the camera when open, as discovered by a bug that shows it being used behind the feed.
Guy Rosen, Facebook's vice president of integrity, responded to Maddux in particular to say this looked like a bug, although there were plenty of other examples of people replicating the same issue.
Since then the company has told The Verge that the updated app is now available on the App Store after they submitted fixes to Apple, which should hopefully solve the issue.
