The controversial original Sonic design for the upcoming Sonic movie has made headlines since its reveal and while some were delighted to see the lightning-fast hedgehog in his redesigned suit, former Sonic Team CEO stated that he would have liked to watch the movie with the original planned design. The Tweets were translated by Dualshockers and can be read below.

"Sonic's new design for the movie is out. However, it seems they're making it as if the old design didn't exist, as the movie official account's old tweets were deleted. I wanted to see a special DVD version of the movie which used the old design. Too bad."

He then followed up the tweet with one regarding the redesign:

"This is the new trailer with Sonic's new design. The design is much more Sonic-like now that he's wearing gloves. However, his eyes still aren't joined together, as expected. I can't help but feel weird about that one point. But I'm looking forward to the movie's release."

Additionally, Naka commented on a line in the Japanese subbed trailer: "A Japanese subbed version of the Sonic movie trailer is also available. But what's up with the "In order to save my planet, I had to come to yours?" line? This is news to me. And I just noticed we'll get the movie later in Japan, on March 27."

Would you have wanted to check the Sonic movie using the original design out?
