Ashes Cricket 2013 release delayed

July launch planned for 505's cricket game.

Cricket fans waiting to get their hands on Ashes Cricket 2013 will have to wait a little bit longer, after the game's release was pushed back from June 21 until some point in July. The decision, apparently made in conjunction with CA and the ECB, is to allow the devs to add some spit and polish to the game before it launches in the run-up to this year's Ashes series.

505's Tim Woodley said: "505 Games has made a commitment to creating a cricket game designed for cricket fans. Developer, Trickstar Games has taken the time to overhaul and rebuild the game engine to offer brand new features in batting, bowling and fielding. By pushing back our release date, this gives us the opportunity to deliver a quality cricket title."

Developed by Trickstar Games, Ashes Cricket 2013 will be released on PC, Wii U, PS3 and Xbox 360.
