Team Meat, the team behind Super Meat Boy, have revealed their next game - the PC-adventure The Binding of Isaac. Edmund McGillen, the one half of Team Meat, has described the game on his blog.
"It is a roguelike shooter based on the dungeon structure of Zelda (NES). At its core it controls like Smash TV/Robotron in a randomly generated semi RPG world filled with power-ups, items and special abilities," he writes.
And it is hard to miss a certain Zelda-vibes when looking at the screenshots. The developers aim for eight dungeons filled with bosses and enemies, there will be unlockable characters and more than 70 special items to find. The Binding of Isaac is scheduled to be released on Steam in August.
