Size Five Games, the studio behind titles such as incoming indie The Swindle and Ben There, Dan That, are bringing their next game - Gun Monkeys - to Steam.

As described in the headline, it's a procedurally-generated multiplayer monkey deathmatch shooter, and it sounds hugely entertaining. It's set to go into beta soon (if you want to sign up we've been instructed to send you in this direction), and will be landing on PC and Mac, and eventually Linux ("as soon as I can work out what Linux even is").

"Gun Monkeys relishes in providing short, sharp jabs of intense multiplayer gaming, so tying it into Steam means you'll be able to get a game against your friends really quickly," said Size Five's Dan Marshall.

"We'll be entering a closed Beta period as soon as we've managed to successfully plug all Steam's systems into ours, and assuming nothing horrendously-unpleasant happens, we'll be launching the whole game shortly afterwards."
