Pewdiepie banned in China following Hong Kong jokes

His recent videos referenced issues like Blitzchung's ban, and now you can no longer see his content in China.

The topic of Hong Kong has been discussed a lot in the gaming community ever since Blizzard's controversial ban of Hearthstone player Ng 'Blitzchung' Wai Chung for making comments supporting protesters in the region, and now it seems Felix 'Pewdiepie' Kjellberg has faced consequences for talking on the topic.

In a recent video of his, Pewdiepie explains that he's actually been banned in China, as you can't find any of his content when looking for it online in the country This comes after he made jokes referencing China's censorship system and Blitzchung's ban in videos this month.

"Keep the internet open and free from ban regulations," he wrote on Twitter, adding in the video that he's sad that fans in the country can no longer watch his videos.
