The Game Developers Conference has been running for years, bringing developers from across the world together to discuss a variety of topics and even make an announcement or two, but now people are talking about next year's event because of the prices of passes.

As you can see here, an All Access past comes in at $1,999 USD, with this pre-sale price ending on January 29. On-site, however, you'll be paying $2,499 for the same pass, although there are cheaper options if you want access to specific areas.

The website breaks down the benefits of each pass, and a lot of people have taken to social media to share confusion and frustration over these prices.

"It's $2000 to go to GDC in 2020. That excludes all other expenses such as travel, accom and food," said ArenaNet lead game designer Jennifer Scheurle in a tweet.

"This price point as well as the pricing of accom in SF in general during that time and visa issues mean that we will have a significant lack of diverse voices at this conference."

What do you make of these prices?
