Red Dead Online players carry bowls of stew across the map

Recently, something grand happened in Rockstar's Red Dead Redemption 2 online mode. You see, sometimes, people manage to get together in a multiplayer game without the sole intent of killing everyone roaming around. This was the case for players joining user Zoobz's 'The Long Walk Meet'. Instead, the large group of players joined in to carry bowls of stew from the southwestern part of the map to the east.

The meetup, first reported on by Kotaku, seems to have been relatively passive on all parts except for, of course, wild animals, speeding trains, outlaw gangs and other, non-participating players. Many were, however, kicked repeatedly (server kicks being a big issue within the game) and had to walk a long time with no stew to enjoy - the horror - and since they could only walk, the journey took quite some time as well.

As the group reached its destination, the players grabbed a beverage and hung out at the movies, which we think is an excellent way to end a grand adventure such as this.

Check a compilation of The Great Walk right here, put together by user 'Slonitram' or check out the organizer's Twitter here for all the juicy deets.
