Doom has set itself apart as a series for over 25 years with its blood, gore, intense gameplay and responsive, satisfying controls. Therefore it doesn't exactly come as a surprise that the upcoming game in the series, Doom Eternal in all its gory, bloody, demon-ridden glory, was recently officially rated M for Mature by the ESRB (i.e. the US counterpart of our PEGI rating system).
Turns out Doom Guy will be ripping demons apart with his bare hands solely to the mature audience - who would have thought?
