Supergiant Games arrived on the stage at Sony's press conference to reveal that their follow up to Bastion, the sci-fi RPG Transistor, is heading first to Playstation 4. The game, which was originally not attached to any console, has been snapped up by Sony following its reveal earlier this year, and will launch on the console in 2014.
A welcome announcement was the news that Indie developers will be able to self-publish on PS4.
Octodad, Secret Ponchos, Ray's Dead, Don't Starve, Outlast, Oddworld Inhabitants, and Galaxy were all given time on the big screen at Sony's conference. All of the mentioned games will be making their console debut on Playstation 4. Whilst some might not be too bothered about indie games, preferring instead the delights of AAA titles, it's admirable that Sony gave them such prominence during the presentation, signaling how determined the platform holder is to put indies upfront and centre on their new console.
