Epic Games just announced that they have opened a new studio based in Cologne, Germany. And it seems to be in good hand as it is "led by the founders of Factor 5 - creators of the Turrican and Star Wars: Rogue Squadron franchises".

The industry veteran Julian Eggebrecht is the Director of Online Technology at the new studio, and had the following to say:

"At the core of Epic's success are highly-skilled and passionate individuals. Germany is a nation at the forefront of technology and we look forward to extending our local presence as we fill newly created roles and hire exceptional talent."

If you want to pursue a career in video games, then Epic's Cologne studio might just be the opportunity as they currently have "nearly 200 open roles across dozens of global locations and is currently accepting applications". Nearly 200 open roles reveal that Epic has big plans for this one, as it right off the bat will be one of the biggest video game studios in Europe.

When will get to see their first game is of course currently unknown, but we wish Epic Cologne good luck!
