Activision had barely managed to unveil Call of Duty: Modern Warfare before a certain Youtuber started to claim that the franchise's traditional beta would start in August. Turns out he was wrong.
As you probably noticed in today's multiplayer reveal trailer, Call of Duty: Modern Warfare's first beta will be exclusively on PlayStation 4 and start on September 12. This is mostly meant for those of you who pre-order the game, but we wouldn't be surprised if Infinity Ward shares a few codes on their social media platforms and such as well. There will also be an open beta for PS4 players from September 14 through September 16.
PC and Xbox One players will have to wait a little longer before they get to jump in. To be a bit more specific: PC and Xbox One players can join the beta on September 19 and September 20 if they pre-order and the open one from September 21 through September 23.
Will you take part in the beta?
