One of the most fantastic and legendary tales of the video game industry is that of the crash in 1983. Legend has it that Atari buried and crushed unsold copies of games like E.T and Pac-Man as well as game consoles in a New Mexico landfill.
Alamogordo Daily News now reports that Fuel Industries have been given permission to dig out the area where the long lost video games are believed to have been buried.
