While the attention of Star Wars fans might be turned to the upcoming Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order from Respawn, one of the best games in the franchise is actually coming back on the Nintendo Switch, this being none other than Star Wars Jedi Knight II: Jedi Outcast, originally released for PC, GameCube, and Xbox back in 2002.

The game became universally praised for the wonderful lightsaber combat, which was way ahead of it's time, but the use of force powers was also one of the main draws. It was during the Nintendo Direct stream that the return was confirmed, and this time for the Nintendo Switch, arriving on September 24.

There won't be any multiplayer modes unfortunately, but the single-player is still an experience like nothing else, and we highly recommend that you pick this one up regardless.

But wait, there's more, as Aspyr Media is also bringing the game to PS4 as well, with Star Wars Jedi Knight: Jedi Academy following in 2020 as well, again for both PS4 and Switch.

Did you play the original versions of these games?
