Just yesterday we ran a report that originated from Polish site Bankier about CDPR having three different Cyberpunk-themed games in the works, however, it would appear that there was a Google Translate issue with the original report that brought these claims to light. The confusion was in the wording, and the studio has tried to straighten things out.

"We currently have a total of five teams working on a number of projects, with three focusing on the development of Cyberpunk 2077. These include CD Projekt Red Warsaw and Kraków, who are handling the main game, as well as the Wrocław studio, where around 40 industry specialists are engaged in technology R&D," CD Projekt told PC Gamer.

"A separate, dedicated team at the Warsaw studio is handling the development of Gwent. The final team is Spokko, which is currently working on a yet unannounced mobile project."

Reading between the lines, this statement doesn't confirm or deny much, although our own in-house translation of the original article by our colleagues over at Gamereactor Poland does seem to clearly say that multiple projects are in the works. Here's what it said:

"We're working on three cyberpunk projects - on the main game and two more. These are handled by three teams. We are also working on Gwent and we have still an unannounced game in Spokko. So we have five working teams, three working on Cyberpunk."

"Our next big project will also be in the Cyberpunk universe and we're already working on it. It will be a really big and innovative project for us".

We put this translation to a CDPR spokesperson but they were only able to reply: "no comment".
