There's a Company of Heroes board game on the horizon after a Kickstarter campaign concluded today with the board game port attracting considerable investment from expectant players.
The campaign asked the crowd for just under £80k, but a month later the game has attracted more than £600k in pledges, with the game set to ship to backers next year (the predicted ship date is May 2020). The devs have promised a fog of war gameplay system, destructible buildings and an "elegant combat engine", and it can be played solo, or cooperatively and competitively by up to eight players.
