EA's Chief Financial Officer Blake Jorgensen has made the news a lot as of late, with him refuting claims that EA didn't have plans for Wii U earlier this week. Now he has made statements about the longevity of current gen, as he was quoted as saying EA would support PS3 and Xbox 360 until 2017.

That's right, even a 12 year-old console can get some love (that's how old Xbox 360 will be in 2017). Of course, EA did release FIFA 13 on PS2 just last year, and was also 12 years after its release. Maybe we shouldn't expect a lot of the core/niche titles to hit PS3 and Xbox 360 past 2014, but there's obviously still a very viable market there and EA plans to stick with it.
