Modiphius is a company that's already brought us to miniatures adventure game Fallout: Wasteland Warfare, but now they've revealed another called The Elder Scrolls: Call to Arms, with the mechanics being rewritten and reworked by designed Mark Latham.
This game comes with 32mm resin figures, as you can see below, and sees famous heroes like Lydia and Ulfric Stormcloak lead followers on adventures in iconic Elder Scrolls locations. You control your troops throughout your journey, but you also need to manage stamina and magicka as well. You can either play solo or team up to do this, and there are various scenarios to take on, including quests and a narrative to follow.
Players will raise banners to fight for Skyrim's future in the first wave, either leading the Stormcloaks or the Imperial Legion, with forces having between one to six heroes and three to 15 troops. This first wave will be a two-player starter set, and reinforcement sets of miniatures for both factions, but we can also expect to see a Dragonborn single-player set, as well as more races and characters from the series on the way. Accessories like scenery, deluxe dice bags, settlement journals, and more are coming as well.
Planned releases will expand on Skyrim as well as the Elder Scrolls Online universe, Oblivion, and more.
The site shows a launch promo of the Dragonborn Triumphant figure with a scenic base, although no game mechanics are included with this product, with the two-player set including rules for using this Dragonborn in the game. This will be coming in limited quantities, with the first 1,000 orders shipping at the start of June, and the second and third wave coming in July and August.
Does this sound like a good way to experience more of The Elder Scrolls?
