It wasn't long ago that we learned that Ben Affleck was stepping down from his role as DC's Caped Crusader in The Batman, but now a new report from Variety suggests that Robert Pattinson might be in line to bring the hero to life.

This is according to alleged sources, who claim Pattinson is in negotiations to don the cowl in the upcoming film, set to release on June 25, 2021. This isn't a done deal yet, but he's reportedly the top choice.

With pre-production expected to start this summer, the film needs a new actor quick, although apparently there was no rush when it came to the script, as Warner Bros. wanted Matt Reeves to have as much time as needed to make it a good film.

Would Pattinson be a good choice?
