DeNA is a company that's worked with Nintendo to develop various licensed games for mobile devices, including the upcoming Mario Kart Tour as well as Super Mario Run, and now their latest financial results report has revealed that Pokémon is a part of their future as well.

This is because they "plan to launch a new and exciting smartphone game this fiscal year based on the globally popular Pokémon franchise, in partnership with The Pokémon Company," as they write when looking ahead. That's about all we know though, because further details and release windows will be revealed later on.

Speaking of Pokémon, Detective Pikachu has just made a record opening for a game adaptation, beating Angelina Jolie's Lara Croft film. Essentially, Pokémon is a popular property right now, not least of all because of Pokémon Go (again on mobiles) and the upcoming main games Sword and Shield.

What do you think this game will be?

Thanks, VG247.
