Subverse is a game that's caught eyes on Kickstarter by raising £1,668,626 of its initial goal of £100,000, and when compared to other Kickstarter giants like Star Citizen (which raised a similar total when converted to GBP back in the day), this one sits up there with some of the biggest names.
The game, which seems to be somewhat inspired by the likes of Mass Effect, is an erotic sci-fi experience that in some respects plays like an RPG. There seems to be a mix of arcadey top-down shooter-style action and tactical turn-based missions, and it's all mixed in with lots of... interactions with your crew.
The project was funded by 58,730 backers, and as you might have expected several stretch goals have been hit given this total. According to the campaign page, the game will be released on PC later this summer.
