Back in February we reported that Starbreeze had sold the publishing rights for System Shock 3 back to developer OtherSide Entertainment following financial troubles for the company, and now they've done a similar thing with Mohawk Games' strategy title 10 Crowns.

We've found this out via a Starbreeze press release which tells us that, as a result of the mutual agreement, Starbreeze "expects to be fully reimbursed for costs the company has had in connection with development of the game," as they first acquired the rights for the game last year, helping to fund the development.

"The title owner Mohawk Games and Starbreeze have now reached an agreement whereby Starbreeze returns the publishing rights for the game to Mohawk and will be able to recoup the development costs at a premium," Starbreeze adds.

"As we work through our reorganization it also means that we will need to look at each and every opportunity presented and make some hard decisions which are the right for the situation we are in. Mohawk has made good progress on the project so far and we'll be excited to see the product realized when the time comes for its release", said Mikael Nermark, acting CEO of Starbreeze AB.

Starbreeze still holds publishing rights for Psychonauts 2, but it's unclear what the future holds for the company after they filed for reconstruction back in December last year.

10 Crowns was first revealed last year as a strategy 4X title from Civilization veterans. Civ 4's lead designer Soren Johnson and art director Dorian Newcomb are helping to bring it to life, and with such talent behind it anticipation is high.
