A common way to find out about upcoming content for new video games these days is tech-savvy gamers digging in the actual code and revealing their findings. And that is exactly what happened with Mortal Kombat 11, which was released this week.
It was on Reddit that a user posted a list (that others later confirmed is in the code for the game) showing what seems to be the upcoming DLC character packs - which we assume will be spelled Kharacter Packs. Here's the full list:
Shang Tsung
Nightwolf
Sindel
Fujin
Sheeva
Joker
Terminator
Spawn
Ash (Evil Dead)
Spawn has been rumoured several times before, and there are new movies with both Terminator and Joker releasing later this year, which would make a whole lot of sense. Finally, Ash from Evil Dead fits well in with the horror theme of previously released DLC characters such as Jason Vorhees and Leatherface.
The fact that these characters are mentioned in the code doesn't 100% mean that they will be released, but at least it increases the chances for that to happen.
