Sega of Japan have announced plans to release a 3D-makeover of the original Sonic the Hedgehog on Nintendo 3DS eShop. In addition to 3D effects a couple of moves we're used to these days, "Homing Attack" and "Spin Dash", have been added as they were not present in the original game. You will also be able to save your progress.
No word on when we might see this released in Europe, but it's coming soon in Japan...
