Are you an Xbox gamer based in the UK? You might want to grab an Xbox Live Gold subscription within the month of April, or at least before May 8 since the price of the subscription, as well as the month-by-month plan, goes up on that date. The price increase is happening because of "changing market conditions" which isn't a very clear statement, but we're looking at you, Brexit.

Xbox Live Gold's one-month subscription will go up from £6 to £7, the three-month subscription will go from £15 to £18 and the full year subscription will set you back £50 instead of the £40 it's priced at right now. A substantial increase, we'll say. The information was shared through an official statement from Microsoft that you can read below.

"To ensure gamers have consistent pricing for Xbox Live Gold across Europe we are making changes to UK pricing from May 8th. Prices will rise by £1 a month for our monthly subscriptions, £3 for our quarterly subscriptions and by £10 a year for an annual membership. This new pricing is aligned to the changes we made in the region in 2016 as we strive to offer our members premium gaming and entertainment services at a fair price. We have notified members whose accounts are on recurring billing in the UK so they are aware well in advance."
