According to multiple reports, the listing for Borderlands 3 on the official Xbox website previously claimed that the upcoming Gearbox Software game would come to support cross-platform co-operative play. The feature, if accurate, would most likely mean a pairing of PC and Xbox players, but one can never be too sure. The listing was added with the announcement of the official release date for Borderlands 3 for pre-order purposes but the cross-platform play may have been either leaked in advance or, alternatively, been a mistake.
The listing has since been altered, removing the cross-play tag, but you can check a screenshot taken by Game Rant down below.
Borderlands 3 releases on September 13 for PC, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.
