It's coming in May this year and we have a teaser image, although there aren't a whole lot of other details at this stage.

Back in November of 2018 we reported on a rumour that Valve was developing their own VR headset, allegedly based on leaked images of prototypes. Now we know that Valve does indeed have something up its sleeve, and it's coming pretty soon.

The company has revealed the Valve Index, but don't expect to see much on the official site other than an image. A release window of May is attached as well, and Ars Technica turned up the contrast to reveal six dots on one of the surfaces for the headset, similar to the HTC Vive's outside tracking system.

With a May release window it also comes in the same timeframe as the Oculus Quest and Oculus Rift S headsets, which are both meant to launch in spring, so it's going to be an interesting time for VR fans.

Do you have high hopes?
