Siege of Centauri revealed by Stardock

This is set in the Ashes of the Singularity universe and requires you to defend Earth's first colony against alien attackers.

Stardock has revealed tower defence game Siege of Centauri, set in the Ashes of the Singularity universe and putting players in the shoes of a commander responsible for defending Earth's first colony. Thousands of aliens are looking to cause you harm though, but if you fend them off you can expand the colony to new parts of the planet.

"We first got the idea for the game while developing Ashes of the Singularity. With the engine's ability to handle tens of thousands of units, we wanted to design the ultimate tower defense game. Siege of Centauri incorporates classic features from the tower defense genre and combines it with the unique features and capabilities first seen in Ashes of the Singularity," the press release reads.

There will be a number of weapons to choose from in the game, including ones that can take out hundreds of enemies at a time, and since the engine supports hundreds of light sources at once the map vision has some "interesting choices" available too, according to Stardock.
