Turok is a classic Nintendo 64 game that merges guns with dinosaurs in a rather unique product that has endured through various sequels. If you're a big fan of the original though, it might interest you to hear that it's getting re-released on Nintendo Switch on March 18, as you can see on the official product page.
The game, first released in 1997, puts us in the shoes of time-travelling soldier Turok who must battle against The Campaigner and of course dinosaurs to save the day. You can independently look and aim your weapons, and you'll have the choice of 14 weapons to choose from when it comes to your arsenal.
There are detailed backgrounds and particle technology to spice up the game that's now coming up to its 22nd anniversary, and "Cobwebs sway. Bubbles form rings on the water's surface. Bullets ricochet. Trees explode into flames and crash to the ground. Waterfalls boil with foam."
Twitter user Pixelbuster also claims that Nightdive Studios has told them that they're bringing Turok 2 to the Switch as well, although this will be coming later.
So far only a USD price of $25.19 has been discovered, but we can imagine it'll be similar for those of us in Europe as well. What we do have are screenshots though, which you can see below to get a taste of what's ahead.
