Just this morning we reported that a leaked image online had given us a good view allegedly of the new Sonic the Hedgehog that will appear in the live-action film coming later this year, and while the response has been mixed, Sonic's creator is certainly confused.
Yuji Naka used to be head of the Sonic Team and is credited with creating the blue mascot, so he certainly knows a thing or two about the character, and has taken to Twitter to ask: "Is this a Sonic movie?" (translation provided by Microsoft).
"I feel that it is important to look at the whole body visual of Sonic and head body and stomach," he adds. "Did you not get a little more balance?" He even went as far as to call it a "shocking appearance."
A lot of questions have been raised regarding this version of Sonic, pictured below, but IGN's Tom Marks points out that they eyes are perhaps the biggest problem, providing an amended version of the image on Twitter. You see, the image below shows two distinct eyeballs, whereas usually Sonic's eyes blur into one, with two pupils.
What do you think needs changing, if anything?
