He's also working on a "big bomb" dropping this month, which may well be the rumoured Vampire: The Masquerades game.

Chris Avellone is a game developer with a lot of experience behind him, including work on big games such as Planescape Torment, Fallout: New Vegas, and Dying Light 2, and when asked on Twitter about what he's writing for besides the latter zombie sequel, he provided a very interesting answer:

"I can't say 100% b/c of NDAs, but the ones I can say: I just finished up work with Jedi: The Fallen Order - and beyond that, there's another big bomb dropping in a month! Er, I mean, maybe. Ahem."

Of course the mysterious project is tantalising, but fans have also been excited by his work on Respawn's Star Wars game mentioned in the tweet, as he was design lead on Knights of the Old Republic 2, a game that is held in high regard by the community.

As pointed out by PC Gamer, Avellone's LinkedIn page confirms that he did indeed work with Respawn on the game, with the following entry provided:

"Narrative Designer/Writer (contractor) did story work, story/character reviews, and wrote cinematic scripts for Jedi: The Fallen Order. For those not in the know, Jedi are basically space monks who use telekinesis, mind control, and occasional bursts of lasersword violence in order to impose their values on the rest of the galaxy."

As for the "big bomb", that may well be a new Vampire: The Masquerades game, which people think has been teased for the last few months. After all, the same LinkedIn page says he worked "tenderly with other developers" at Hardsuit Games from 2016 to 2018 - with Tender being the fake dating app used in the alleged teases - and Tender's owner Paradox also partially owns Hardsuit Games.

Which project are you most excited for when it comes to Avellone - the "big bomb" or Star Wars?
