British racing experts Eutechnyx have kept the "open beta" tag on Auto Club Revolution, their online racing/car experience ever since March 2012, but now the time has come to drop it and officially go live. The game has been designed with car enthusiasts in mind and looks to provide players with the sort of experience you get on console with the likes of Gran Turismo and Forza. Over 2.5 million races have taken place during the beta, and beta testers are now offered a free special paint job for their troubles.

Eutechnyx Chief Commercial Officer, Darren Jobling said, "From the initial closed beta launch right through to our commercial release we've been taking our lead from the game's beta test players adding and changing features accordingly, don't expect this to change now we're in commercial release. Our teams have long term plans for new content, new features and new initiatives which will cement Auto Club Revolution's position at the top of the pile."

If you want to join in for a race or two, head over to autoclubrevolution.com - it's free to play!
