The currect PSN outage is starting to affect the retail side of the business Edge Online reports. They have gathered anecdotal evidence for various sources were most claim an increase in traded in Playstation 3 units with some reporting they come in with complete game collections and are traded in for Xbox 360's. It would certainly seem that fans of online shooters such as Call of Duty: Black Ops have opted to migrate as the service stays off-line, but it's hard to tell whether these reports are part of a larger move, or if it's just the odd hardcore Black Ops player in need of his daily online fix.
On the other side of things there is the more casual consumer who no doubt is more concerned about the risk of getting your personal information taken and it remains to be seen who this situation will affect console sales long term.
