We've written a lot about Apex Legends and how it keeps growing at an incredible rate lately. In fact, some have for some reason interpreted this as the death of Fortnite. Well, that's definitely not the case judging by recent numbers.

Epic Games has announced that Fortnite's Marshmello concert broke the game's previous record by gathering 10.7 million concurrent players. That's almost 2.5 million more than what the Butterfly event managed to do in November. Still, these special events are known for bringing an unnatural amount of players, which might be the reason why Epic is very keen to reveal that the game also set a new non-event record when it had approximately 7.6 million concurrent players last Saturday. It's almost as if the reports of Fortnite's death are greatly exaggerated...

How do you think player numbers for Apex Legends and Fortnite will develop in the coming months and years?
