The rumours of Google joining the games industry for real with their own console and/or streaming service have been going around for years, but it was all but confirmed when the company hired Phil Harrison last year. They launched the beta for Project Stream ten months later, but have kept their mouths shut since then. Until now that is.
Google has sent out invitations for a keynote at Game Developers Conference that will start at 6 PM GMT/7 PM CET on March 19. We still don't know what they're going to talk about, as the invitation just reads "Gather around. All will be revealed at the Google Keynote. 10:00am on March 19, 2019. Find us in Moscone South, San Francisco", but we're willing to bet the time has come to pull back the curtain of the gaming-related stuff they've spent a lot of time and money working. Mark us down as attending, Google, because we definitely want to see what you have in store.
How about you? Are you keen to see what Google has in store for gamers?
