Valve's Artifact is struggling to keep player count above 1000

There's a lot of digital card games out on the market right now but one of them seems to be struggling.

At this point, we're all waiting for the next big game to bring Valve back to the position they used to be in, asking ourselves what's up with their inability to count to three. With fans screaming for the third instalment of series like Half-Life, Portal, Team Fortress, Left 4 Dead and Portal, Valve released a card game called Artifact late last year and even though we enjoyed the game, it seems to have struggled to build a community, as noted by Steam Charts.

The game has seen less than 1,000 concurrent players a day in the last week, and this is after being available for a mere three months. Now, perhaps it would help Valve to make the game free-to-play, but that's never a certainty.

What do you think? Would you play Artifact if it was free to pick up and play or do you think the digital card game market is over-saturated already?

Thanks, Dualshockers.
