As we just reported, a spokesman had told Bloomberg that Sony is still aiming to have restored PSN by May 31. Another spokesperson has now clarified that statement to MCV, pointing out that during the press conference held on May 1, Sony boss Kaz Hirai explained that the service will see a gradual roll-out - services such like "online multiplayer, music service Qriocity, account management, PlayStation Home, friends lists and chat" will come online before anything having to do with customer details. Thus we might get to play online again soon, while the Playstation Store might be offline longer.

No word on when we'll get an official statement, or even an ETA for the Playstation Network or SOE servers, yet of course.
