22cans founder and Fable creator Peter Molyneux has his eyes on Nintendo's semi-portable console for his next game. After leaving Microsoft to form his own studio, the Fable legend has released games primarily for mobile devices and PC, with the exception of The Trail: Frontier Challenge that also launched for Switch and in a recent interview with PC Gamer he expressed his interest in keeping the relationship with Nintendo by releasing his upcoming game known as Legacy for the Switch.

"Legacy is certainly a big departure from what I've done before. And more so than ever before, you need to think a little bit more agnostically about platforms." Molyneux stated in the interview, highlighting Legacy's step away from his previous projects.

As for the game possibly moving towards a Switch release, he added: "I would absolutely say that there is a really strong chance of it going onto Switch, but there are two gates that can stop that happening. The first is you have to get permission from Nintendo, that's one gate. And the other gate is, are we, as a company, passionate about putting it on Switch? I would absolutely say yes to that, because Nintendo - of all three consoles - it appeals to the audience that I find most fascinating".

The reason for the appeal of the hybrid console from his court, he explained as follows: "Those are the people that perhaps haven't been gaming for decades - although I love those people as well - they're people who would love to play computer games but find them inaccessible, and I find that absolutely fascinating. So yes, absolutely."

Molyneux is clearly a fan of the Switch and seems more than interested in bringing his next game to the platform. As for when and if that'll be remains to be seen.
