In a Nintendo-focused report by Japanese paper Nikkei, a new piece of hardware was seemingly revealed. Nintendo's hybrid console, the Switch, has sold exceptionally well and it seems like we'll be getting a chance to play Switch games on an even more compact machine in the future, with a release date apparently set for sometime this year.
While it's said to be in the early stages of development, a smaller version of the successful console was mentioned in the report and according to Nintendo Life's Steve Bowling, it will also be more affordable than its larger counterpart.
Apart from the smaller version of the Switch, the report also mentions that Nintendo is working on making their online services more core player- and enthusiast-focused.
Thanks, VG247.
