Fans of tech and hardware goodness have been treated to a lot of news this month, having seen all kinds of innovations and reveals at the Consumer Electronics Show (CES) mere weeks ago, and now Xiaomi's global spokesperson Donovan Sung has something exciting to share with us on Twitter as well.

This is actually a video showing president and co-founder Bin Lin using a phone prototype, but it's not just any phone. After clicking some icons and activating a video, Lin then folds the phone back on itself to create a smaller screen, which the video automatically fills instead.

Folding phones have been talked about for a while, but it's great to see tangible evidence that this technology can work. We should emphasise it's still a prototype, but it's reassuring that Xiaomi are confident enough to show it off.

"What does everyone think we should name this phone?" Sung asks. Have any ideas?
