According to emerging reports, Whore of the Orient, the follow-up title to Team Bondi's L.A. Noire, is in trouble. Warner Bros. picked up the game last year, but a statement from KMM's Doug Mitchell indicates that this is no longer the case.
Mitchell, whose company picked up Team Bondi following the release of L.A. Noire, told MCV Pacific: "Whore of the Orient is a unique and extraordinary story and game, and we are still actively pursuing the right investor to partner with."
Initial reports speculated that development had halted, with the team disbanded, but nothing has been confirmed or denied in this respect. Let's hope that a partner can be found, because this is one game that we certainly want to play. If its future can be resolved, surely these latest developments will impact the projected 2015 release date.
